These maps have recently undergone a server and appearance changeover as part of the transition of selected SEACOOS activities to SECOORA. This page presents the new maps (only the full SE region however) - users accessing these maps directly should contact Jesse Cleary for details on accessing cached maps at their new address.

These images are generated each hour from near real-time data (~2 hours previous). The time stamp on each image indicates when the plotted observations were made. Remotely sensed images show the latest overpass available and may be up to 24 hours old. Images are organized below by region and layer of interest. You may navigate to each region using the regional map or text links at the top of the page. At the end of each regional section you will find a link to the SEACOOS Observations Interactive Map which provides more flexible access to these data.

Click on the icon above each observation image to get a description of the specific layer displayed. Or click the "Variable Information" links to see more information on the variable being measured. A click on the map image or the icon displays a larger image. Use the "Previous Images" link below each image to view cached images of that region and layer from the recent past.
